A collaborative community event hosted by Richmond Bridge Traffic Action Group.
Please join us at the Richmond Club function rooms on Sunday, 16th February 2025 from 4.30pm, for a deeper insight into the New Richmond Bridge project. We’d keen to hear from you also, so there will be some time afterward for questions and sharing your ideas.
The Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for Stage 2 was presented in December 2024 with some bleak changes that will have more negative impacts on the community and no foresight to improve traffic congestion.
The forward-looking community who have delved into the REF are finding deeply concerning issues, beyond the safety impacts of the “Richmond Bypass” route cutting through the Inalls Lane built-up town area and Southee Road.
We expect to uncover some the details buried in the REF and gather more community input on what road transport infrastructure is required to supplement the New Richmond Bridge, and the traffic demands that must be met for current and future housing developments west of the river.
We all want a solution quickly due to the escalating traffic issues but not one that lacks foresight, negatively impacts community unnecessarily, isn’t well thought out, and doesn’t meet its main objectives.
