The concern is if we build new parcelled rd next to southee or it is not funded for years to come the same outcome will be people rat running through valder ave and the streets that run off it. The latest update from nsw transport on their changes was old kurrajong rd would be gated and closed to the public as concerns of rat running and noise for the residents yet here we have hundreds in the firing line and no changes there. The road needs to be built away from a built up area as that is what a bypass is.
Hi My name is Laurence Refalo
I agree with the daming affect on the properties around Inalls Lane.
i believe the alternate route that you suggest down Yarramundi Lane will be too expensive at this stage
but I believe the alternate route NO3 that you suggested on the screen last night will solve all the problems with Southee Rd and give us a bypass we deserve.
Thank You,
Laurence Refalo
Daming effect on raised road sections. To neighboring properties. Has a hydrologic impact been completed.
The closure of Old Kurrajong rd to Richmond bound traffic.
The bridge section in the river should be started first. Not the intersection at Racecourse rd new rounderbout.
The bypass of southee rd is important. The parallel rd with noise reduction barriers to lower residential impact.
Safety concerns re: Inalls Lane/ Drift Rd and Victoria intersections.
Remove right turn lanes. Speed will be increased from 50 km to 80 kph. (60%) Traffic increased from 3k per day 32k per day. 10 fold. Assume very dangerous to exit Drift Rd and Victoria Place. Another option reduce overall speed in immediate area to 60kph.
Concerns Drift Rd will become an increased short cut. Provide means to detter traffic. Chicaines. speed humps. Close of western end Drift to stop traffic using Rd from Penrith direction.
Residents use road to walk, push prams etc as no footpaths. Increased traffic will create alot more risks and danger.
– Fred Motbey resident Drift Road.
The raising of the roadway with fill across floodplain will create a damning effect and change how the floodplain works. This will mean houses that never saw floodwater before will see floodwater now. This will raise insurances and it’s not even the fault of the homeowner.
There is a lot of hype about a bypass to nowhere. Just a road built with no other infrastructure improvements to meet it and it is going through suburbia past peoples homes. This is not a bypass that is well thought through.
Vibration and noise impacts not assessed adequately we have windows from bedrooms that have clear view to inalls la and yet we are not deemed to have “high” impact from noise and vibration due to house next to us buffering. But individual circumstances are not being considered.
Entry and Exit to Victoria place will significantly be hindered once traffic flow increases to the volumes predicted. It will become unsafe for residents to turn right out of the st to go to Richmond CBD which is their suburb and only 1.5km away.
Too many safety concerns for Hobartville residents particularly Valder Avenue.
Too many intersections and lights for a bypass.
